Grace & Leanhour
Grace and Leanhour met at Cincinnati Christian School, where they were both students. Grace was only fifteen at the time, while Leanhour was seventeen. Despite not being skilled at soccer, Grace attended a soccer event at the urging of a friend, where she met Leanhour. They began communicating on Instagram, and their relationship blossomed from there. On their second anniversary, Leanhour proposed to Grace in the romantic setting of Bellevue Park in Cincinnati, surrounded by the city’s twinkling lights. It was a special moment that they both cherished.

of
Grace & Leanhour
Organizing and decorating for the event initially caused some stress, but it was an incredible day. The ceremony took place outside, which caused some anxiety due to the possibility of rain. Unfortunately, it rained in the morning, and there was no sign of sunshine. However, Grace was reassured that rain is a symbol of good luck. On top of this, there was a problem with the flowers ordered in bulk from Sam’s Club. Half the order required a correction as bright yellow flowers were delivered instead of the requested pink. Despite contacting customer service, they were only able to refund the money. Luckily, Grace’s sister, a florist, could purchase the missing pink flowers and save the day. Their day was full of lucky occurrences, including rain a few hours before the ceremony, a butterfly landing on Grace during the ceremony, and Grace finding a four-leaf clover while walking back. The food was delicious, and Grace and Leanhour danced the night away.

Experience
My experience at Bridal & Formal was simply fantastic. The staff was accommodating and friendly, especially Bobbi, who had a unique personality. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcome and pumped me up throughout the process. Despite the time crunch, she remained patient and never let it show. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Heidi & Derek
Heidi and Derek met online in late October 2018 and hit it off immediately. They went on their first date the following week at a restaurant, where they chatted for three hours straight. During the date, Derek ordered 12 wings but only ate three, which was unusual for him. When they said their goodbyes that night, Heidi asked for a hug and knew right then that Derek was someone special she wanted to be with.
After dating for 5-6 months, Derek moved from his hometown of Vinton County to Sabina, where Heidi lived. Despite living an hour apart and having opposite work schedules, they made their home together and enjoyed each other’s company. Over the years, they went on many adventures, like off-road trips with friends, visits to the beach, Vegas, Nashville, and Chicago, and road trips to gun shows or flea markets, always looking for a good bargain. They laughed and cried together and faced challenges as a team.
On November 19th, 2021, Derek proposed to Heidi at the Columbus Zoo lights, and she happily said “yes”!
The Wedding
of
Heidi & Derek
Heidi and Derek’s wedding day was absolutely amazing! As soon as they got engaged in November 2021, Heidi had a vision and was determined to bring it to life. Heidi chose a boho theme for her wedding, featuring real and dried flowers and lots of pampas grass. Her bridesmaids wore desert coral dresses, while the groomsmen sported tweed vests, denim jeans, and boots with black accents. Heidi put tremendous effort into every wedding detail, including making every charger for the place settings herself. The matron of honor (Heidi’s sister) and her now sister-in-law and cousin arrived at the venue at 8 a.m. to start their hair and makeup. The bridal party comprised 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen, a junior bridesmaid and groomsman, a flower girl, and 2 ring bearers, making it quite a large group.
The hair and makeup for the wedding were done first, followed by the arrival of the groom and his groomsmen around noon. The photographer and videographer were also present to capture every moment of the day. The bride and groom exchanged letters and gifts before the ceremony. Derek gave Heidi a round solitaire diamond necklace while Heidi gifted Derek a photo album of her boudoir photo shoot and a Winchester model 61 .22 rifle gun. After everyone was ready, they took photos separately with each bridal party member. Derek and Heidi chose not to do a first look, and Heidi couldn’t do a first look with her father, who passed away in 2019.
The wedding ceremony was very emotional, filled with love and happiness. Heidi was escorted down the aisle by her older brother, and both the bride and groom shed tears as they exchanged vows. Their unity ceremony consisted of branding a framed piece of cowhide with a personalized brand they created to represent them, coming together as one. The ceremony, officiated by Reverend Jim Taylor, was brief but filled with meaning and ended with the announcement of Mr. and Mrs. Derek Trainer.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to the venue for the reception, where they enjoyed a charcuterie table while family photos and pics of the entire bridal party were taken. The matron of honor and best man gave speeches, and Derek and Heidi shared their first dance as husband and wife. Heidi surprised her mother with a slide show of pictures of her father and family while they danced to Will Dempsey’s song ‘Beat You There.’ Derek and his mother danced to ‘Mother’ by Sugarland. The cake was cut, and the bouquet and garter toss took place. The couple also played the bride and groom game with their shoes and the longest-married couple/advice game with their wedding guests. The reception ended with a sparkler send-off and lots of dancing and drinks. Cheers from the new Mr. and Mrs. Trainer!

Bridal & Formal
Experience
I met Katelyn through my sister, and both of them were a part of my sister’s bridal experience in 2017. Earlier this year, in January 2022, I visited the Bridal & Formal store with my mom and sister to find my wedding dress. The team at the store was quite helpful, and they showed me around the different collections of dresses while keeping my budget and style preferences in mind. Sally was my consultant, and she was terrific. She helped me find the perfect dress, and I instantly loved it. During my second appointment, the staff was very efficient in taking my measurements and helping me order the correct size so I wouldn’t have to spend money on alterations. They were accommodating when I had to leave in a hurry due to a family emergency and let me pay over the phone later. The experience was fantastic, and I loved the selection and customer service.
Sally was accommodating during my experience. I tend to be indecisive, and I tried on several dresses. Sally was patient and kept us on schedule while helping me decide my choices and pick the perfect dress. After my first try-on session, I was torn between two dresses, so Sally had me try them on again and helped me take pictures and compare them to decide. We scheduled a second appointment a week later so that I could take some time to think about it. During my second appointment, Sally reminded me of what I loved about my favorite dress and helped me choose the color underlay before placing an order. She was friendly, honest, and supportive throughout the process, and I couldn’t have asked for a better consultant.

Stephanie & Aaron
Stephanie and Aaron’s love story is one for the ages. They first met on the dating app Hinge, and it was love at first swipe! Stephanie was drawn to Aaron’s tall stature of 6’3″ and his adorable golden retriever, Kida. Likewise, Aaron couldn’t resist Stephanie’s height of 5’10” and her cute red-headed golden retriever, Norman. But what really brought them together was their mutual love for Jesus Christ.
Despite living miles apart, Stephanie and Aaron were determined to make their long-distance relationship work. They spent many happy hours together, but it always seemed like time flew by too quickly. Saying goodbye was always the most challenging part.
Aaron invited Stephanie to spend time with his family on New Year’s Eve in Ohio. Little did Stephanie know, Aaron had a surprise in store for her. During a family photoshoot at Kings Island, Aaron got down on one knee to tie his shoelace, but instead, he pulled out a beautiful ring and asked Stephanie to marry him! Stephanie was overjoyed and said yes without hesitation.
It’s a beautiful love story proving that distance is just a number when you’re meant to be with someone.
The Wedding
of
Stephanie & Aaron
Stephanie and Aaron’s wedding day was absolutely magical! With so many of Stephanie’s loved ones working hard to set up the venue in the morning, it was clear that everyone was excited for what was to come. Claire from Premier Park Events was a superstar in organizing everything, and the vendors were all on top of their game. Stephanie had a blast getting ready with her mother, future mother-in-law, maid of honor, flower girl, and bridesmaids. When the ceremony finally rolled around, Stephanie looked stunning! She felt confident walking down the aisle, with everything from her dress to her bouquet to her hair and makeup feeling absolutely perfect. Her mother walked her down the aisle, and her father-in-law served as the officiant- it was an extraordinary moment. The reception was a blur, but Garnish Catering knocked it out of the park with its delicious food, drinks, and desserts. Stephanie and Aaron couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. They wrapped up the night with a sparkler exit, full bellies, and tired feet- but they wouldn’t have had it any other way!

Kayla & Brock
Kayla and Brock had an incredible encounter in 2020 while the world was facing the COVID-19 pandemic. They decided to go on a trip out west to visit three national parks: Glacier, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone. While on a hike to Fairy Falls in Yellowstone, with the sun setting and no one else around, Brock asked Kayla to marry him. It was a perfect moment for them, and they will always cherish it.

Kayla & Brock
Kayla and Brock had the most fantastic fall wedding day! The weather was perfect – warm and sunny, but not too hot. They decided to keep things intimate by hosting the wedding in their backyard, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The ceremony was just beautiful, and it was Kayla’s mother-in-law who officiated it. Then, everyone enjoyed the reception in a gorgeously decorated tent. The food trucks serving the couple’s favorite foods, tacos and donuts, were an absolute hit! And the speeches were unforgettable, especially the surprise dance by the couple’s best friends. The signature drink, named after their adorable dog, Pip, was a big hit and got everyone in the mood to dance. Kayla and Brock had the time of their lives dancing the night away with friends and family – it was a day they will cherish forever!

Katie & Drake
Drake and Katie’s love story began at the University of Findlay, where they both pursued their passions – Drake as a football player and Katie as a cheerleader. Their journey together reached new heights when Drake proposed to Katie in February, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Indian Mills.
The Wedding of Katie & Drake
Drake and Katie had the most beautiful wedding day. The weather was one of the last lovely days of the season and perfect for their outdoor ceremony. Katie’s Dad handmade the stands and lanterns for the centerpieces, and Katie and her Mom did all the florals. All the décor was done by them and turned out beautifully. Katie had chosen a deep eggplant purple, dusty lavender, light pink, and navy, which blended so nicely! The morning started with the girls setting up the venue and getting ready while the guys went for breakfast in their hometown. Katie may be biased, but she had the most helpful and supportive people with her as they prepared for the day.
When all the girls were ready and outside, Katie began getting into her dream dress with help from her mom and her best friend’s mom. Katie’s best friend passed away from cancer when they were 19, so having her mom there with Katie for these moments is extra special. This dress was so unique to her. Katie had searched for this dress for months, traveling hundreds of miles for it, and the day was finally here to show it off. They went outside to do their first looks, and the first tears were shed on the day. Katie’s Dad was not one to cry or shed a tear, but it was instant waterworks the second he turned around. The following first look was a setup between Drake and his best man in a wedding dress… Tears turned to hysterical laughter within seconds. It was almost time to get lined up and walk down the aisle, but there was still time to get in one last dance session with the girls while they waited. Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA” is a classic for these moments! And then it was time.
The guests were there, the quartet was playing, and the bridal party had started making its way down the aisle. Quickly, after 12 groups of bridesmaids and groomsmen, it was time for the ring bearers to head down. Drake and Katie have a 2-year-old son together, and there is nothing cuter than a toddler in a tuxedo! Next were the flower girls; one was Drake’s cousin, and the other was Katie’s 92-year-old grandmother. Having her as her flower girl that day will forever be one of Katie’s favorite memories. Now it was down to Katie and her Dad. The dress was fluffed, and the tears instantly flowed as Katie reached Drake’s sight. It felt like it took forever to get to the altar, but everything was natural and comfortable as soon as Katie arrived. Later in the night, they had their first dance, and halfway through, their son came out on the floor with them and finished the dance with them, which caused quite a few people to cry. And then it was time to party! Katie and Drake completed the night with a dreamy sparkler exit!

Bridal & Formal
Experience
I had a wonderful experience with Bridal & Formal! I made the 2.5-hour drive because the store’s quality is top-notch. There are so many dresses that you are sure to find something, and if they don’t have it, they will order it for you, which was the case for me. Lacrecia was so helpful and had me try on various dresses to ensure I had a clear vision! I can not recommend B&F more highly- 10/10!
Lacrecia was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and made it happen, not to mention adding the 15-foot veil, a beautiful set of earrings, and a matching hairpiece. She really understood my vision.
