While still in high school in 2016, Christian and Emily became friends. They attended competing schools but became inseparable thanks to shared acquaintances and a chance vacation to the same Florida town for spring break. Christian took Emily on the Best Date at Ruth’s Chris on January 7th, 2022. Christian and Emily returned to Emily’s place to watch a movie after their meal. The floor was covered in rose petals, their family, and a small black box. While Emily was still standing, Christian got down on one knee and proposed. Emily quickly made January 7th her favorite day ever.
The Wedding

The date of Emily’s grandparents’ 61st wedding anniversary and the anniversary of her parents’ first date was August 20th, 2022. When they realized this, Christina and Emily were sure that August 20th, a Saturday in 2022, would be their special day. The Dappled Willow was the most lovely location with every detail Emily needed and dreamed of when a couple locations fell through, according to Christian and Emily! With Emily’s girls, the morning was ideal (despite the predicted overcast weather). The heavens opened, the sun emerged, and she wore her outfit after finishing her hair and cosmetics. Some of Emily’s favorite morning activities included her first look and prayer with her father and her first look and letter reading with her bridesmaids. The outdoor wedding of Christian and Emily exceeded their expectations. They had stunning views of trees, a pond, and the Indiana countryside in the distance at their ceremony site. With all their connections to August 20th, it was only fitting that Emily’s grandfather presided over the ideal ceremony, which included their handwritten vows and first communion. The celebration was a flurry of happy hello’s to old friends, delicious food, dancing, and SO MUCH LOVE! For Christian and Emily, August 20th seemed like a day in paradise. Emily is so grateful to her suppliers, especially Bridal and Formal, for making her and Christian’s special day even better than they could have imagined.

It was a dream working with Bridal and Formal! The first of three appointments I had planned for that day was at Bridal & Formal in Cincinnati. Having a few ideas in mind is brilliant because I know how indecisive I am. I needed to cancel my other appointments as soon as I met my bridal consultant, Sandra, and she was right to say that. She treated me like a queen, and I had the best day ever, feeling fabulous. I’m really grateful to her!
Sandra is AMAZING! Sandra is why I keep referring my engaged friends to Bridal and Formal. She paid attention to my preferences and spending limit, and with each dress, they got better. Her grace and commitment met me that day, and I soon discovered the dress and veil of my dreams.
