“I have been doing bridal hair for over 10 years now, and I have found that the classic wavy blowout has stood the test of time as the top bridal hairstyle,” Bivona explains. “However, in recent years, I’ve noticed more softly waved ponytails or sleek editorial updos.” Some tremendous disheveled and romantic updos are making a significant reappearance.”

“We’ll continue to see more modernized takes on classic styles, such as low, romantic updos and Hollywood Glam waves,” Meyer adds. Many brides choose the classic style with a side part and tons of volume, but we’re also getting a lot of requests for sleek, modern waves with a center part.

Updos

Because of the numerous options, updos are one of the most popular wedding hairstyles. An updo can be pretty formal, with each hair precisely put or left undone for a more playful look. You can also accessorize your haircut with bridal jewelry. 

“Updo styles range from extremely intricate twists and coils to a simple sleek ballet bun.” When it comes to updos, you have a lot of freedom. “I’ve discovered that almost any updo style can be adjusted to fit almost any face shape,” Bivona says.

Bivona also says that an updo has numerous advantages, such as not worrying about the style dropping or becoming frizzy, and that “especially for summer weddings, getting your hair off your neck will keep you cool during your gorgeous outdoor ceremony.”

Down Hairstyles

According to Bivona, down hairstyles can range from a classic bouncy blowout and gentle waves to sleeker styles tucked behind the ears. Most brides like to keep their hair down because it makes them feel more like “them.”

These styles offer a playful element to a formal setting, such as a wedding, and can be styled in various ways. “The contrast between a couture gown and a relaxed blowout makes for some stunning photos.” “However, if you want to meet in the middle of an updo and a fully-down hairstyle, a pinned half-up, half-down look is a great way to meet in the middle of an updo and a fully-down hairstyle,” Bivona suggests.

“I see a lot of styles where the natural texture is blown out but not straightened to create this gorgeous, soft pillowy texture that can be transformed into any bridal style,” she says.

Chignons or Low Buns

If you prefer to keep your hair out of your face on the big day, go with a chignon or low bun. This is also one of the finest ways to show off your dress if it has a complex back or other design aspects to highlight. A chignon or low bun will also stay in place throughout the day and night. Because of this, you won’t have to worry about your hair falling out or losing its bouncy curls.

Curls

Curls are a flexible wedding hairdo. Vintage curls add a charming touch to any outfit! These curls are more beautiful and have a tighter appearance. Curls can be pinned out of your face or swept aside for more drama.

There are also beachy waves and loose curls. These curls cascade down and past your shoulders. They create a more comfortable yet stunning look for your special day. If you have a mermaid silhouette dress, beach waves are the ideal complement.
