The Proposal

of

Audri & Michael

Audri and Michael’s love story is super sweet! They met in high school and started dating after six years of knowing each other. Michael played football, and Audri played soccer – what a dynamic duo! They lost touch briefly, but fate brought them back together during practice. Michael even asked Audri to wear his jersey for a game – talk about romantic! Four years later, Michael proposed to Audri in a park they both loved, with their new puppy by their side. It was a complete surprise, and Audri was over the moon. Their love story is truly one for the books!

The Wedding

of

Audri & Michael

Our wedding day was the most memorable moment of our lives. We decided to have a two-year engagement to ensure we graduated from Ohio State University before exchanging vows. We chose Labor Day weekend as our anniversary always falls on that day. It was also OSU’s first football game on the same day. Our color scheme was rust/burnt orange, gold, black, and white/off-white. I wanted a modern and simple look with a touch of rustic. The day started partly cloudy but turned stormy as we prepared in the Airbnb we rented for the girls. Our DIY projects, which took me months to complete, started falling apart on the wedding day, and my planner called me to decide whether we should move the ceremony inside as it was initially supposed to be outside. Ultimately, we moved everything inside and adjusted the seating arrangement to ensure our guests had a comfortable and intimate experience.
My husband and I decided to have a first look, which was an excellent idea. Throughout my bridal pictures, I couldn’t help but tear up because I missed him and wanted to know his feelings. Everything went by quickly, from walking down the aisle to cutting our cake. Our church pastor officiated our ceremony, and we included our religion in our unity ceremony with communion. We also wrote our vows, which were the hardest to get through without crying. Eventually, the rain cleared up after the ceremony, and we took photos outside with just a sprinkle of rain. Our photographer, Shelby, did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule without missing any shots.
Our first dance was to Dan + Shay’s “Glad You Exist,” which perfectly describes our love. We had dancing, but we also had other activities for guests who didn’t want to dance, such as a TV outside for the football game, lawn games, and couples games. Our food was pulled pork and chicken, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes – all the good stuff! Smokeout BBQ is the best BBQ in central Ohio (and perhaps all of Ohio). My friend from high school, Nicole, baked our wedding cake for us as her cupcakes are the softest I have ever had, and she decorates them beautifully.
At the end of the wedding, we had a simple send-off with our close friends and family, and we headed back to the Airbnb to unwind for the night. September 3, 2022, was the best day of our lives!

Audri’s

Bridal & Formal

Experience

My visit with Bridal and Formal was extraordinary and everything I had dreamed of as a little girl. Not only because of their extensive selection, but the kindness they showed was top-notch. My appointment was during one of Randy Fenoli’s trunk shows, and getting to meet him was another item off my bucket list. I have been watching him since I knew what a wedding was!
Finding my dress was the last thing I expected as it was the last dress I decided to try on, and even then, I did not expect to like it. I had found another dress that I loved bits and pieces of, but the dress did not feel like me. The dress I chose had the elements I loved, but it was softer and fit my personality. I am so grateful for Bridal and Formal for completing my wedding day.
My sales consultant was so kind and outgoing. She kept me comfortable from when I stepped into the store to when I stepped out. She guided me to help limit my options, preventing me from being overwhelmed, but I never felt pressured to buy something!
