The Proposal
of Madison & Tommy
Tommy and Madison had planned to have lunch at one of their favorite spots in Dublin on Valentine’s Day 2021. They arrived early and decided to walk around the Scottish Corners Park. This spot held a special place in their hearts, as it was where they had their first date. As they strolled around the park, Tommy surprised Madison by wrapping her in a massive hug and then kneeling to propose. Overcome with emotion, Madison said yes! Tommy’s sister had been hiding behind a tree and managed to capture some beautiful photos of the proposal. Afterward, they spent a couple of hours at Madison’s parent’s house before heading over to Tommy’s parent’s house to celebrate with family and friends. They finished their day with a lovely dinner at one of their favorite restaurants and returned to Tommy’s house. Madison was pleasantly surprised to hear “Marry You” playing as they walked up the steps. It turned out to be Tommy’s roommates playing the song as a cute gesture. When Madison walked into the living room, she was greeted by their friends, cheering for them. Tommy had organized a wonderful surprise by having all their loved ones there to celebrate their engagement. They had a fantastic time celebrating with each other and their friends and family!
The Wedding of
Madison & Tommy
Madison and Tommy’s wedding day was a dream come true! The wedding took place on a beautiful August day at St. Brigid. Madison and her 10 bridesmaids and her mother started the day at the hotel at 7 a.m. to get their hair and makeup done before the party bus took them to the church. Madison put on her wedding dress at the church and had a first look with her dad and bridesmaids, a special moment they captured through their photos and wedding video. Tommy and Madison had written notes to each other the day before, and they read them separately on the morning of their wedding, which was a lovely touch. The ceremony began at 2:30 p.m. Madison will always cherish the moment when the big church doors opened for her to walk down the aisle and see Tommy waiting for her. The ceremony was beautiful, and they exited while guests blew bubbles.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests took photos at various locations, including Scottish Corners, where Tommy had asked Madison to be his girlfriend in 2014, and Bridge Park in Dublin. The reception took place at The Exchange, a Cameron Mitchell Premier Events venue, where guests enjoyed a cocktail hour before the reception began at 6 p.m. Madison and Tommy made a fun entrance to “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, and their bridal party had a competition for the most creative entry. Madison’s dad welcomed all the guests and gave them a blessing before dinner, which was catered by Cameron Mitchell and absolutely delicious!
During the reception, Madison’s sister gave a maid of honor speech, and Tommy’s brother gave the best man speech. Madison and Tommy had their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” (Haley Reinhart version) after taking dance lessons leading up to the wedding. They also had a father-daughter and mother-son dance, an anniversary dance, a bouquet toss, and a garter toss before the perfect night of fun and dancing as newlyweds with their friends and family. The reception ended with “Piano Man,” Tommy and Madison danced while their friends and family circled around them. For their sparkler exit, guests went outside to grab sparklers while Tommy and Madison grabbed another piece of wedding cake (or two!). It was a perfect day that they will always cherish.
Madison’s
Bridal & Formal Experience
I recently had an exceptional experience at Bridal and Formal. I attended the Randy Fenoli Trunk Show in September 2021, and since I am a fan of “Say Yes to the Dress,” meeting Randy Fenoli made the experience even more surreal. The store is beautiful, and I enjoyed exploring the many available dress options. I am beyond impressed with the entire experience and feel incredibly grateful that I found my dream dress at Bridal and Formal.
During my appointment, Dani A. was my consultant. Dani and I were already acquainted through a mutual friend. At the start of my appointment, we discussed what I was looking for in my dream dress. My mom and I selected a few dresses, and Dani also pulled a few options. Each dress she suggested had all the details of my ideal dress. After trying on the first dress, I knew it was the one. I tried on a few more, and Dani asked me to compare each dress to the first one. When it came down to the last two dresses, Dani helped me identify the aspects of each gown I liked. Ultimately, I chose the very first dress I tried on.
